Description

2005 Acura TL Manual 6 Speed Rare

First off -- This was not a kid's car or a 'drifter'. He was an Asian engineer who maintained it to the T. Silver over a black leather 6 speed. This car has compression that is not normal. It is so solid I cannot explain. I am a wholesaler however this is not one of may wholesale vehicles. I came home with it and my girlfriend was not having a “non suv” - I was gonna just keep it but if I have to buy an SUV I’ll need the $. I hold title in hand, it is up to date on CTemissionsandwe tested for the heck of it, 100 percent pass. Of course, no check engine lights on this gem. It was traded in on a new Benz at the local Mercedes store. I took this one for myself. An Asian guy (forgive me not sure of nationality) engineer strolls in with it. I don’t mean this as a sterotype AT ALL however, every Asian dude I know has a clean, powerful, and tasteful Honda / Acura! It has 1 gauge power wire and 1 gauge ground wire run to the trunk (from an under the hood distribution black) So you're pre-wired for your system - the right way. It also has a BRAND new run of the mill battery in it so he clearly had a sick system (and power source) before he handed over the keys, IhaveBOTH sets, FOBS, and a valet key. In the from seat was a cardboard box, with the inner workings of a stock motor, valves, pistons, you name it - that he didn’t leave behind, I believe that to be the pre-rebuild parts. The motor has clearly been rebuilt - most likely with beefier parts. My buddy said I shouldn’t even mention that cause I don’t have the paperwork - but I think that is a major sign that the car was JUST done if the parts were still in the car. It speaks for itself, a 200k car would NEVER drive like this baby. No smoke, clutch grabs like a vice (but not too abruptly), and exhaust has that unmistaken low resonator Porsche note.

My ex had 2 2005 Auto Stick whatever Acura TL’s and she would always want my Caddy truck so I always drove one of those — NO C O M P A R I S ON with this one. The speed, the car actually being maintained, especially the 6 speed manual transmission, goes much faster, more torque, Apples and Oranges.

It has everything that was available from the factory that year, except that worthless NAV (dealer cost is about $1,2500 and could have it upgraded in a heartbeat IF you wanted but that’d be totally separate from this auction) it only matters if that’s a deal breaker for you. I like Google Maps lol. This has the Bluetooth 6 Disc XM radio unit that is active/paid for the remainder of the year (That is what’s been said, but you’d have to give them a call with the VIN to find out) The leather on the seats DOES NOT reflect it’s age at all. Always look at the seat bolsters for wear - There IS NONE. ICE COLD A/C. This car spent most of it’s life in a 3M wrap, thus only one little scratch, no chips or nicks especially on the front end - front plate delete - blacked our grille and badges) The car has Bridgestone Bkizzak tires on all 4 - 2 are in AWESOME SHAPE, two are OK. Brakes are great.

In the effort of complete and full disclosure I feel the need to be specific regarding issues or potential issues:

The car needs an ABS Sensor (about $80) on one of the front wheels - don’t have the report in front of me. This causes the VSA traction control off - the same as pressing the VSA button. I’ll pony up the $100 in a buy-it-now situation but it is simple. The E-brake cable is stretched, or snapped which is another cheap issue that can be fixed before delivery, if price allows. The high beam switch is STARTING to fail, another cheap fix. The windows ALL have a great tint job the front 2 are DARK for my tastes and in our state, the law’s also, but they peel off. Small rust dot above rear wheel, would go unnoticed if Ididn't mention.

This car is a straight car and I would, and am selling to a good friend, if I don’t get a certain number here. Vehicle is sold where is, how is, no warranty express or implied. Please I invite you to come check it out or pay for a professional inspection. Transportation responsibility is the buyer’s responsibility. I am about 55 Miles Northeast of Manhattan - New York, New York. My name is Tom 203.913.6957
