Here is a rare opportunity to own one of the finest 1967 Roundtail Duetto’s : AR 664015 -the last model designed by the great Batista Pininfarina- from private collector. Only 6,325 original Duetto 1600 were made and most rusted away due to the hollow monocoque construction. A dry Arizona base was completely stripped, engine and electrics removed; rotisserie sandblasted and painted. For 5 years NOS parts were collected from all over the world. The goal was to keep everything correct-original, but to enhance the driving experience and dependability. Instead of 1600 cc, this car already had a 1,750 cc engine, which looks like a 1600 on the outside. Extra horse power was added with Spruell-cams. More reliability in traffic was obtained with electric fan with thermostat.I am 6 foot 2: the seat-rails for the adjustable seats were placed further back on new floors to increase leg space. The car comes with a rare, original Pininfarina hard-top and matching off-white tonneau to cover the soft-top when down. In addition to the original wheels and hubcaps, a set of correct Alfa-Cromodora wheels is currently fitted with wider tires. The rust-free car was kept in a garage and protected with Waxoil. The odometer shows 12,500 miles, which served to sort the car out and drive to shows, such as Alfa Century International AROC in 2010, Frederick, Md, where it got second place in class (91.4 points). The car was shown at the invitational Radnor Hunt Concourse. It comes very complete with a mint manual, original jack, tool-set and sales-brochure. Obsessive attention to detail was given and shown in these pics. Recent service /inspection.
