Description

1976 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce 2000 Iniezione Touring PackageAlfa Romeo Spider Veloce is a car that has a 2 door convertible/cabriolet body style styled byPininfarina with afront mounted engine powering the rear wheels. Power is supplied by adouble overhead camshaft, 2 litrenaturally aspirated 4 cylinder powerplant, with 2 valves percylinder that provides power and torque figures of126 bhp (128 PS/94 kW) at 5400 rpm and178 N·m (131 lb·ft/18.2 kgm) at 4000 rpm respectively. This power isdelivered to the wheels through a 5 speed manual gearbox. Top quoted speed is 197 km/h, or 122 mph.
It is original Spica and starts and runs great
THE GOOD:
1. Starts every time, runs and handles well
2. Overall condition in my opinion is pretty surprisingly good and appears original to the best of my knowledge
3. New battery cranks even after sitting for days
4. Seems to be all original may have been painted I do not know
5. Clutch is good
6. Unique color AR219 English Racing Green
7. Does not appear to have been wrecked though I have not done a Carfax
8. I'm gonna install a original Robbins replacement top this weekend
9. I drove it for about two hours on Sunday-real blast
10. New battery
11. New lights all around
12. Glass is in good shape
13. Interior is pretty sweet in my book no major tears
14. Luggage rack? I guess that is good bit corroded so you know
15. Brakes rebuilt
16. Does not smoke at all-no real maintenance history came with this but another thumbs up in my book
17. Engine cools properly however as mentioned the heater ore has be bypassed by PO
18. Nose is not nor does it appear to ever have been crushed

There are several things that are not working properly for one reason or another I know the grounds on some of this may be the issue however, I'll try and compile a list for purpose of full disclosure:
THE BAD:
1. The temperature gauge is not reading-pinned at 0 runs at normal operating temperature has not overheated since I've had it
2. The heater core has been bypassed-not sure why and the blower is not operating
3. There are a couple of small tears on the seats
4. The speedo and the tachometer are weird
5. The tires are old Pirelli P6 hold air for long periods time right now but I personally am particular about this
6. There are some rust spots on the body in the normal spots (undercarriage, rockers, and there are a couple spots here in there on the shell)
7. The top has a hole in the rear window
8. The windshield wipers do not work
9. The gearbox has a hint of a touchy 2nd gear just have to hold it at the gate for a split sec on speedy take offs
10. The hazard switch does not want to stay off
11. Drivers door lock appears to have lost the cir clip on the inside
12. There is some spotty rust but this car is solid and straight to my inspection
