Description

Great running, nice looking Spider Veloce with lots of recent money spent on her. Car was sold new in Texas and spent its life there and then Colorado--never any salty roads or bad weather to rot the chassis and body. The previous owner bought the car from the Denver Alfa dealer in 1997 and stored it every winter. The Carfax report is three pages long, itemizing very regular servicing whenever it was needed and confirms the car has never had an accident. At 94K miles, the engine is tight and quiet, uses no oil and the car runs and drives very nicely, with great oil pressure and no overheating. The Veloce model came with power windows, air conditioning, a nicer soft top (canvas insteadof vinyl)and alloy wheels. The top was replaced several years ago and is still in nice shape with a clear back window. Best of all, the entire interior has been professionally restored with all new vinyl upholstery--professionally done to exactly match the original, not just a seat cover set--including new foam, new door panels and dash cover. Since the windshield had to come out to redo the dash, instead of putting the old one back in, a new glass was installed. All instruments are in nice shape, steering wheel, shift knob and boot are fine and there are Alfa mats to protect the new carpet. The original Clarion (junk) radio was replaced with a new Kenwood with remote control and our shop has just installed a new set of premium tires and newbattery. Several years ago the original silver paint was getting weak, so the car was resprayed in the original color. It's a good job, but not reallyshow quality. The original owner's book is in the glove box and a telephone book-size shop manual is also included. The Alfa Spiders have a lot of unseen technical goodies like a limited-slip differential, 4-wheel disc brakes, variable cam timing and a slick-shifting5-speed transmission. This car has the very desirable steel sump guard also. Since I'm the guy who sold the car to the previous owner back in 1997, if you have any questions about it, please call! Bill at (303) 877-6477. Farland Classic Restoration has been working on imports for over 25 years and caring for this Spider for about the last ten. I decided to go with a Buy-It-Now format instead of an auction, so a buyer can have it immediately instead of waiting for an auction to wrap up. Based on price guides and other SpidersI have seen, I feel the car is fairly priced, but if you want to try an offer on me, go ahead--just be serious. Please be aware it is also listed for sale elsewhere and if it sells, this auction will be cancelled, so waiting 'til the end may not be a good strategy. Thanks for all the views and followers!
