1966 Marlin Parts Car
I bought this car out of Michigan this past December. I bought it for the numerous options it has for my own "65 Marlin. The only thing I took from it is the tilt wheel assembly. I replaced that with a correct floor shift non-tilt unit. It has power windows! A very rare option. I decided not to make the transplant of these because I plan to attend the AMO national meet in Gettysburg this year and I don't have the time to remove and install that system in my car before then. Everything is there for the installation though. This wasn't the case originally because one of the rear switches was missing so I bought a beautiful used one before I decided not to make the transplant.
So, everything else is the way I bought it. Starting from the bottom it has what I think to be a set of Cragars without the centers. The tires are pretty nice too but I don't know how old they are. It has power brakes but the fronts are drum type not disks. The rear end is open not posi. The car could be made into a Pro-Street or Gasser by the racing buff. I would say that more than 99% of it is there. The engine is disassembled. The car has Electric Wipers, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and as mentioned above Power Brakes, along with Windshield Washers, 4-Way flashers, Wheel well and rocker panel moldings, Factory optional adjustable outside driver's mirror with matching non-adjustable passenger side mirror (missing mirror glass but available from Galvin's AMC Parts), one year only factory AM script AM/FM radio (not Rambler Script), Day/Night rear view mirror (also non Rambler script) Optional padded sun visors- passenger side has Rambler script vanity mirror (looks original), The dash pad is pretty much toast. The interior, as can be seen is the blue vinyl with cloth inserts and is pretty darn good for it’s age. The buckets have the optional headrests and center armrests. The front door cards are kinda bad while the rear cards are kinda good. All are exclusive to power windows. All glass is good, no cracks or delaminations. I have another trunk lid that is not damaged, but a little rust on bottom which goes with the car.
This car does not have the inner fender tag. It does have the door tag though and the title matches the serial number hidden behind the steering box. Use Ebay email with questions I will give phone number to serious buyers. $500 deposit due within 24 hrs of auction end. Balance due on pickup in cash in person. I spent over two K on this car... my reserve is a lot lower.
Original Discription from December (phone number removed)
Original paint car. 327 4 barrel, 4 speed. Motor and trans was removed by previous owner and is included. Factory air conditioning, tilt, power steering, power windows and 4 speed transmission. Was told less than 4000 were built with manual trans. I was going to make it a gasser tribute and leave body as is but no time and winter is coming. Doors are good, fenders are repairable, quarters need patching, trunk floor pretty nice, floor pans need replacing. I believe all trim is present including parts removed such as grill, rear door panels, headlight trim, radiator, shroud, driveshaft, clutch. Cool car to build or make a great parts car. I can assist in loading or packing motor in car if you want to ship it. Call or text with questions XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thanks, Scott . Car may go on craigslist this week as well. keywords AMX javelin rambler rebel barn find gasser project 4 spd 343 390 401 287 327 290 go pack drag car survivor
