Description

Only 186 made in this 60's psychedelic color.....390, 4 speed, Big Bad Blue, no hit, no rust, a mix of lightly restored and original. Every part of this car is in excellent condition. NOS dash frame with no cracking, custom autosound AM FM cd changer with power amp. No cutting, drilling, or modifications were done for this mod. Gorgeous and rare in every sense of the word. This is very much a highly original benchmark car that is oh so rare today. A car can be restored many times but is only original once. This beauty is complete and needs nothing. This car was advertised to me as a 46000 mi original and while I can not confirm that, there is nothing that indicates that it is not. I recently replaced some aged rubber bushings in the front end that were cracked due to age and had planned on replacing the lower ball joints but they were original and oh so tight that I just left them alone. This car is bone stock except for the stereo and the addition of period correct Mag Star wheels and spinners. If you don't like spinners the standard caps are included in the sale. Oh, forgot the period correct rare aftermarket rear window louvers. Approximately 50% of the paint is original and is blended beautifully with the retouched areas and the undercoating is untouched from day one underneath. Stock and clean and complete under the hood and in the trunk. Upper radiator hose has been replaced with factory correct one. The center arm rest was moved to another car as it was not matching color and was just resting there. I have the space saver spare, inflation bottle and jack and handle which were removed for pictures. Interior freshened slightly with new seat covers and headliner that fell down many years ago. Some items like that just can not survive the test of time no matter how carefully it was stored. Glass is tinted and in excellent condition. Door glass has been re-glued and properly adjusted and seals perfectly. This is not a factory go pac equipped car but has been fitted with some go pac items such as the black racing stripes and a new 3 core radiator. It is much easier to add the remaining go pac items than it is to fix a rust bucket! Buy on condition! You will never regret buying an original rust free car. Everything works. I have had 16 world class AMX's since 1975 and I do not do anything based on lowest cost. I like my cars as perfect as I can get them. This is a gorgeous survivor............Look at other cars first, then come and see mine and you will know what you want......Life is short....What are you waiting for? Also included is a pictoral confirmation binder of originality and some documents and a professional sign board. Documentation includes----Original Rambler key holder, original owners manual, original warranty manual, original ID card issued to South Carolina, original title, assignment of subsequent title, pristine condition build sheet, ORIGINAL SALES INVOICE TO ORIGINAL OWNER, thank you card from AMC, cancelled checks for original purchase, original business card from selling dealer and salesman, South Carolina inspection receipt and original insurance document, various road test magazines from 1969/70 re AMX testing. Original Big Bad Colors pamphlet. Massive documentation of a very original, straight car. WOW!
