Description

1968 AMC AMX+1968 AMC Javelin Parts car. 343 V8, auto, PS, Twin Grip rear, drum brakes.I can'tsay its number's matching because you just can't do that with an AMC, but everything looks to be correct and there is no evidence that anything has been screwed with. Valvecovertag indicates a high compression 343 and the shock tower VIN and Cowl tag match the clear title.Good project, lost interest. Runs good, radiator is original and in excellent shapeand the Transmission seems to work fine. Solid car,no rust in the trunk, the cowlis goodand the floor areas that had issues were replaced with new metal. The troughs are rust free, rear windowhas been repaired and is ready for the glass,Brake work is complete (new Master cylinder, shoes, lines, etc)(I have everything to convert it to disk brakes)rebuilt carburetor and I have the AMC transmission service kit. New battery, new starter, new solenoid, new(rebuilt) fuel pump.Everything is there minus the correct air cleaner, I'mpretty sure Ihave gathered everything that was missing when I first got the car. I have new carpet (red) and a set of Coker F70-14 nearly new redline tires for it and it has the factory mag wheels. 2 extra fenders, extra driver's door. The tachometer is present and works, the gas gage is not working, the sending unit was replaced so it just may be a ground issue. The car was taken apart by the previous owner, I have done a lot to it but there is still work to do. I have the service manual, all of the glass is good, windshield is excellent. I believe this would make a great driver to enjoy once completed. There is no exhaust beyond what's left of the down pipes, it will need seat foam and covers, the headliner will need a good inspection and decision on its future. The window mechanisms and door locks were removed by the previous owner, but the Javelin's are still in place for reference. With so few made this car deservesto be putback on the road. My reserve price is well below its value. $500 deposit with the remainder in cash upon pick up. Thanks for looking.
