Description
This car is a 1973 AMC Javelin AMX. The AMX stands for American Motors Experimental. This AMX Javelin was built for those who wanted a back seat and more wheel base.
This AMC Javelin AMX that I am offering is unique in a way that makes this car different from most they put out at that time. The engine was ordered at 304 cubic inch with an automatic 727 transmission. The car has bucket seats with floor shift.
The car was purchased in 1981 by a 16 year old girl as a school car. She drove the car until the mid 1990's. I purchased the car from her. I got it running, I replaced the starter, fuel pump, and put in an HEI distributor.
The interior of this car is all there except for the carpet, which is a good thing. There are no holes in the floorboards of the interior. It does have a little rust in the trunk, in the back edges. The seams in the seats have let go in a few places, the back seat is good. The headliner is in place. The dash has some sun damage but is all there.
The car runs great and doesn't smoke. It does need brakes. The car has some rust behind the rear wheel, but that is an easy fix.
They have been coming up with a few of these cars and putting up-to-date motors, transmission and rear ends and building some awesome looking fast cars.
This car is ready for a hell-cat transformation.
This is an "AS IS" sale - no returns. Buyer handles all shipping costs.

Viewers have said that although it does have the AMX grille and hood, the VIN is not indicating it is an AMX. We are sorry for advertising it as an AMX if it is not.
