1964 RAMBLER AMERICAN 440 CONVERTIBLE

This vehicle has been in the family for several years, has seen it’s fair share of car shows and taken home a few trophies along the way.As with most 50 plus year olds, they are always a work in progress. About the only item not yet replaced is the original windshield, which has some pitting and a wiper scuff. Vehicle is driven and shown often, so there are a few minor nicks on paint. When I purchased this car, the initial 196 CID 6 cyl engine was evidently replaced by a 199 CID from a 1965 American 440, according to present engine serial number and its obvious appearance.

·Restored weather strips on doors, hood, deck lid and fuzzy window channel sweeps, (unable to locate new rubber corner seals where convertible top meets top of windshield, see photo)

·Restored drum brakes and OEM front suspension trunion bushings
