Description

1983 AMC Eagle SX4. I am the 3rd owner of this car. Absolutely no rust through anywhere. Never seen a winter, was always stored until last winter when it sat outside because I am out of storage room, was only driven a couple days. Original brown paint and tan interior. No rips or tears on the seats. Headliner does have a couple snags in it. New carpet. Exterior paint has door dings and scratches on it, but this is a 36 year old car and the only touch up was on the rear hatch due to faded paint. No rust through on hatch, bottom of doors uni-body frame etc.
Had had the original 258 c.u. in-line 6 rebuilt with about 4,000 miles on it. Stock rebuild with a Clifford intake, header, and Performance Fuel injection TBI fuel injection system that s works great! Original axles had a 2:38 ratio on 6 cylinder cars. Those were replaced with 1981 4 cylinder axles that have a 3:54 gear ratio full time 4x4. I still wanted to drive on the highway so a rebuilt GM 700R4 overdrive transmission was installed with a 1980 Jeep wagoneer NP219 Transfer case. The gearing combination works well. Drive it at 75MPH on the highway no problems but still has plenty of low end get up and go.
This is a original car in original condition with a rebuilt engine and transmission. Also has new front axle shafts and KYB shocks, and brakes all around with a 2": lift kit. There is a rock chip in the windshield passenger side about nickel size. New tires. Only immediate concern is it does seem to have a small transmission leak either from the pan or front seal. It is driveable, but due to leak the distance you drive it is up to you. Personally I would trailer it any serious distance. Only selling due to other projects requiring my time, so time to pass this one on to somebody else who can appreciate it instead of letting it out over the winter.
Selling to U.S. lower 48 only. Buyer to arrange shipping. $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hrs. of auction close. Cash in person at pick-up or once wire transfer has cleared car may be picked up. Mileage is 107,xxx ebay made me put in a number.

Forgot. This car does have factory A/C and it is still intact. I put a new A/c condensor on it. It just need a hose made and charged up.
