DescriptionI purchased this 1971 AMX from the estate of local gentleman who bought the car years ago in hopes of restoring it back to it's former glory, unfortunately for him that never happened.
This AMX has been off the road and has been stored inside his garage for years. The mileage on the speedometer reads 111132. We pulled it out of hiding and thoroughly washed it inside and out. The old decayed carpeting & mats were removed for you to see the condition of the front, rear & trunk floor pans.
This AMX has the very "RARE & DESIRABLE" color combination of a Wild Plum Metallic Body, code D9A with White T-Stripe and White Vinyl Twin Canopy Roof Panels and a White & Black Bucket Seat Interior.
The car's body is complete with all of it's sheet metal, trim & glass missing only the outer front grill screen. The hood, trunk & doors open close and latch correctly and all of the tinted window glass is original & uncracked.
As you can see by my photos the body has it's share of dings, dents & rust with some panels being repairable and some needing replaced. The factory fiberglass hood is clean and not cracked or rotted out. The floor pans are original but do have several areas of rot & rust through especially the drivers side front floor and rocker panel. The pans under the bucket and rear seats & tunnel are solid as are the rear wheel tubs. The sub frames and front & rear suspension show no signs of any previous damage or repair, however they do have surface rust & scale.
The white & black 2-toned vinyl interior is complete and in fairly decent condition. The white bucket seats are clean & solid and the AMX door panels & center console are nice originals. The dashboard & gauges are real nice and the black dashpad is uncracked, however the original radio is missing but the opening is uncut.
This AMX rolls & steers but has no brakes. The original 360 4-bbl P-Code engine has not ran in years and is locked up, but the 3 speed automatic transmission still shifts through the gears.
This AMC was ordered with some very nice optional equipment including the AMX "GO" PACKAGE which consisted of the 360 4-bbl engine, dual exhaust, hood T-Stripe, black paint in rear panel, rally-pac instruments, cowl induction hood & air cleaner (which is missing the top), twin grip differential and power front disc brakes. The other options on the car are factory rally wheels, air conditioning, tilt steering column and sport steering wheel and white vinyl twin canopy roof panels.
If you are seriously interested and need to examine the vehicle during the auction you are more than welcome and I recommend that you do so. The car is located in Uniontown, Pa 15401.
If you have been searching for this particular AMX in the Rarest of Colors "Wild Plum Metallic"with this many factory options then here is your opportunity to acquire the real deal and restore it your way.
This 1971 AMX comes with a clean clear Pa title that is in my name and is ready to be transferred into yours.

I will only accept a $500 pay pal deposit within 24 hours with the balance due upon the pick-up of the vehicle within 7 days.
