Description

1965 AMC Marlin Coupe

  • 287 CID V-8 engine 2 BBL
  • Three-speed automatic transmission
  • power steering, power disk brakes
  • says 69k miles on it right now, my title says 62,650 miles actual, it drives like it is actual mileage
  • rock solid Wisconsin title, our states titles are very easy for transfer to other states, golden
  • notice the 1968 Wisconsin parks sticker in the front window and the 1968 presidential bumper sticker in the back, classic
  • could use a tune up, idle adjustment, runs well, could run even better, I am not mechanically inclined
  • I believe the color is called Marina blue, it is very teal like in color, bluey green, I wanted my "fish" to be water colored like the ocean.

Still generating that mod, groovy vibe 50 years later is this 1965 RamblerMarlin, runs well, paint is tired and needs some body work, honest car, exterior has some blemishes here and there, rust by the power wheel, and some filler here and there. Has been a Wisconsin car, it will have its issues, needs the next owner to take it to the next level. Floorboards are solid, trunk is solid. The radio and gauges works. The drivers side window trim has fallen into the window track and needs to be fixed, window goes up and down, but will need it addressed. This Marlin has brand new shocks and new stock radials, size 195/75R14 all around and has factory wheel covers.

I was going to add a 327 intake manifold with a 4 BBL carb and add dual exhaust to it. It will need a new exhaust in the future, I like the sound it makes right now, but will need to be addressed. As it sits right now, it is 198 HP. By adding the 4BBL carb and dual exhaust, you can make the 287 push about 225 HP.

Made in American Motors’ Kenosha, Wisconsin factory, this car left the factory with aqua paint. Has been repainted one color at some point, not very good to say the least, I do not know what color the two tone was when new. Paint looks shinier in the pictures than in person. Under the hood is a 287 CID V-8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Things that don't work, of course the clock, also the heat, I do not drive them past October, when it is put into winter storage, the lovely vacuum wipers(being sarcastic) I have new repair pieces for that, shown in the picture with the seat belts and manuals.

Inside, the two-tone interior continues the mid 60's vibe. The split front bench and rear bench seats are ingood shape; a seam split in the back seat, about 6 inches long, needs some floor mats, headliner in very fine shape. my favorite interior of all the old cars I have owned, the greenish dash lights give it such a cool look at night.

NO RESERVE, GOING TO START IT AT 6500 FOR BEING A 65 AND SEE WHERE THAT GOES.
