Ultra rare Replica of a very famous prewar Mercedes Benz 500K that is very hard to find and the original would sell for millions these days, Factory built in 1981, just around 50 cars like this were ever built and just a few of them are still in US, most of them were bought by rich overseas buyers in Europe & Arab Emirates countrie, a brand new Pontiac Grand Prix was used as donor car, heavy duty steel frame, pretty big and massive car, not your average kit car ! Powerful V6 - 3.8 liter GM engine & automatic transmission, new carburetor & new battery, Power Steering, Power Brakes, the rare feature that gives the car the million dollar look is the rumble seat, not so many MB 500K replicas have that. Brand new freshly redone interior, seats were redone in 2 tones as well the door panels, Brand new redone rumble seat compartment, new carpet in the trunk compartment, expensive Momo steering wheel with beautiful gold MB horn button, brand new convertible top with chromed steel rear window frame,Brand new White Wall Gangster style tires, very nice real wire wheels and custom MB hub caps, 2 piece hood, 2 piece windshield, solid windshield frame & cowl lights that you can maneuver from the inside, very thick suicide doors,Power Windows in working condition, chrome steps for climbing up in the rumble seat compartment....and a lot of other nice options on this beautiful Mercedes 500K recreation full of prewar goodies like a Cadillac or a Packard . Paint is not new, it's a driver condition 2 tone job, silver body and dark grey fenders, paint is pretty old and you can see signs of wear when you get really close to the car, some touchups and minor scratches are present, will also need some TLC under the hood, nothing was changed in the engine compartment, stock GM engine with black valve covers that would look nice if some easy to find chrome would be added, chrome valve covers and chrome air filter can be found online fordecent prices.... Only 27K miles since completed in 1981, built in the same area as the famous Excalibur cars, in Milwaukee - Wisconsin by American Classic Automotive Corp., these cars were over $65,000 new 37years ago, & would cost well over $100,000 to build today, an original 500K or 540K Mercedes would cost now 9 to 11 Million dollars .... or even more ! This car is around 16 feet long, width 108" wheelbase & very solid weight of 3500 pounds. Clear title in hand, vehicle is titled as 1981 Centaur Convertible and is ready to go to a new home !
