1975 Audi 100 LS C1 4 Door Sedan - Survivor!!!
Description
Classic German Audi 100 LS 4 Door Sedan. This car is a Survivor! It's been on the road virtually it's whole life!I've Owned the car for just over 2 years and have enjoyed a few Sunday drives. I've kept it inside and under a cover. I recently had the head gasket replaced. It has had the engine rebuilt once and has had been repainted the factory Cream White.Odometer shows 82,500 milesAnd from what I can tell from the large amount of receipts I believe that to be 282,500 Miles! Is that a record for a C1 Audi?1975 did away with the notorious inboard disk brakes up front and they located them out at the hubs making maintenance actually possible!
The interior is very clean an well kept! The driver seat shows minor cracking of the vinyl. The carpet is in good shape with some minor snags and such. I believe it was replaced at some point. It has a Kenwood stereo, and speakers have been installed in the door panels and the rear package tray. Passenger door speaker is missing the grill. It all appears to have been professionally installed or at least by some reasonably competent. The dash has one small crack around the speaker grill.A previous owner had an aversion to the sun... so there were shade on all the windows and there are some velcro, screws, and adhesive remnants as well as 2 shade at the rear window.Has an aftermarket sunroof that does not leak and looks very high quality.AC blows cold and has been well maintained, still uses R12! So, it's COLD!!!
The paint seems to have held up quit well! Some sanding marks are visible. There is rock chips, some crack, a couple of dings. Two areas of rust, one spot is on the rear of the left rear wheel arch and is bubbling with some rust underneath. The other is at the bottom of the right rear fender behind the wheel arch. Also some heavy surface rust in trunk around fuel tank.No other rust anywhere (Besides surface rust at rock chips and such.) including floors.Has aftermarket Euro Mirrors like we used to see advertised in the back of Road & Track Magazine as well as square Driving Lights from the same era.
As noted, just had the head gasket replaced. Also new plug wires and Pertronix Electronic Ignition.Ignition switch was also replaced this spring.Runs well. Shifts well. Stops well.
Exhaust is a bit loud for my taste for this car. Previous owner had some of the exhaust system replaced but original muffler is still there and has been patched many times with exhaust putty.Tires are starting to show weather checking.
All in all a nice classic with everything working as it should. But it needs a few items addressed.
I don't have any connections to any shipping services but I would be glad to help in any way I could!
Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to ask questions!
