1967 / 63 Austin Healey Sprite Roadster
Description
This Austin Healey Sprite is perfect for someone looking for a solid reliable driver that looks great but won't break the bank. This is a right hand drive car which runs and drives well with no issues. I have gone over the car and performed some repairs, both cosmetic and mechanical, as well as some general maintenance. The car was recently painted when I bought it but turned out to be of relatively poor quality hence my decision to re-paint it. Below is a summary of the work which I have done since I bought the car.
BodyMinor rust repair consisting of small replacement panels. The car was pretty solid in general so replacing entire sections was not necessary. The body has been sealed, primed, and re-painted.Replaced the convertible top.
EngineNew exhaust front to back. General tune-up and maintenance.
BrakesReplaced front brake pads.
TrimReplaced some chrome including the rear bumper and other misc. trim.
The car has a nice interior that is great shape overall. The seats appear to have been recovered at some point and look nice. The carpets, door panels, and dash are all in good shape. At some point the rear suspension was upgraded from the problematic lever actuated dampers to tube shocks. This upgrade greatly reduces maintenance cost while improving performance. The oil filter housing has been upgraded to a screw on type filter as well. The car starts right up and runs strong. The tires are not new but they do have good tread and life left in them. The car is titled as a 1963 but is obviously a 1967. The title and vin do match. The car has been titled this way through several owners so I'm not sure if it's a titling error at some point or what. The car is currently registered and insured in my name. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer them accordingly. I encourage anyone who is interested in inspecting the car in person to do so.
