This car was purchased just a few years ago locally here in California from the believed second or third owner, and has now returned. It still wears it's West Coast delivery tag in the engine compartment. This car appears completely accident-free and rustfree and has lived here it's whole life.This car was owned by a local and caring Healey Club member for several years up until a few years ago, when I found another home for it. The car is very well preserved in lovely overall condition, wearing older cosmetics and was fanatically maintained and improved as needed. The bodywork is exceptional with great panel fit, with doors that just click shut like original. The single thin repaint in it's original Healey Blue color is older and showing a few flaws, but has a very nice, calm, and "flatted off" look about it. Chromework is mostly original in good overall condition.The interior trim has been improved as necessary including newer seat covers, panel kit, dashboard, beautiful alloy/wood steering wheel, weather equipment, etc.Mechanically, the car is superb, being one of the better driving Big Healeys I've been in. The engine starts easily on the key, exhibits great oil pressure with no smoke, runs cool even on the freeway and in traffic, and has a nice working overdrive unit. The brakes, clutch, and suspension are all up to the mark, and the car performs very well and reliably on the road, rolling along smoothly on it's quality wire wheels amd Michelin radial tires. It's clearly a well-sorted machine. The undercarriage is original, with very straight and rustfree sheetmetal, covered by all original paintwork.Overall, this California car is a well-preserved gem with light cosmetic improvements throughout it's easy life. It has been very well maintained and has a great original feel to it. It's the final and most desirable year for the BJ-8 and is finished in the quintessential Healey colors. It's the perfect driver.
