Description

As you can see this Abingdon built 100-6BN4 two plus two seaterAustin Healeyis a solid car and deservesa restoration. This Austin Healey has the overdrive manualtransmission and the optional knock off wire wheels, with front disc breaks. This auto is powered by the 2,639cc 6 cylinder with doubleCooper carburetors. The three sets of bows for the convertible top are included, but the canvas needs replaced, but I do have the original canvas plus another. The hard top is also included as are the side windows. The history I have on this Austin Healey is that it came out of Oklahoma and was purchased in the early 1980s in southern Missouri and has remained in the same family since then. I know since its purchase the car has always been kept in good storage facilities. The Austin Healey was restored in the mid 1980s. At the time of restoration a new primer came out on the market that was supposed to be the greatest primer ever. As you can see in the pictures it was not the greatest primer ever, it stuck to paint like a magnet toironbut seemed to have been repulsed by the thought of adhering to metal. At least the poor primer reveals the condition of the metal. The engine cranks over freely. The odometer reads 09206 There is one small hole in the drivers side floor pan. It appears that the trunk has had some repairs (see pictures). I also have a niceextra set of knockoffs spinners.Extras steer wheel, radio, hubs, set of bumper brackets, two wheels, three side view mirrors. Missing gas tank (can be purchased from Moss Motors, passengers door handle.

It has come to my attention that I put the incorrect series on the title. This is, unless I am wrong again, not a BJ8, rather it is 100-Six BN4. I have included the Chassis Number Sequence from "The Big Healeys" by Graham Robinson. The serial number on this auto is 71XXX. I may relist this item to clear up any confusion. Any input would be welcomed.
