Austin Healey 1960 Bugeye Sprite Project Car or Parts Car
Description
1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite project car or as a parts car. Mostly complete though disassembled. Lots of light to moderate surface rust on the body and bonnet but certainly restorable. The frame does not appear to ever have been damaged. Some bodywork required as visible in the photos: particularly the passenger side shroud panel beneath the windscreen (new replacement part included - see photo); the driver side floor panel, and the bonnet front bottom, along with several other relatively minor dings.
The engine is 948 cc with a ribcase transmission. The car was assembled, but non-operational, when I purchased it about 20 years ago. It's been in my garage ever since, until lately. Prior to my purchasing the car, it appears to have been stored outside, given the rust on the body and one missing freeze plug on the engine block. I purchased the car in California, although the title, dated 1988, is from Texas. I don't believe it's been registered since.
The parts are pretty much complete. Notable exceptions include the cloth top, the seat upholstery, the bumpers and grille, the brake and fuel lines, and tires.
The tub is on a wooden dolly and is included.
More photos are available upon request. The vehicle is available for pick-up only, no shipping. No reserve price. Full payment due within 7 days unless arranged otherwise before bidding closes.
