Description

1968 Austin Mini Moke

Fully restored in 2005. Rebuilt engine in 2005. Rebuilt with new pistons and modified for the Mini Moke. Only 3500 miles since 2005 rebuild. Beautiful condition and runs flawlessly. The Mini Moke restoration was completed by Dion Jardine of DJ Minis in Westley Chapel, Florida in May of 2005. The restorer replaced the rubber cone suspension with modern shocks and added marine grade custom upholstery and top which are in excellent condition. He also installed rare matching Moke mud flaps and wheel well covers and had the bumpers chromed. This Moke has been garage stored and driven only on nice days. The Moke drives great and recently received a tune up and new water pump. There is a chip in the paint on the hood where the key goes in but from 6 feet away this moke looks flawless. No rust or scratches. All rubber is brand new.

This is an ORIGINAL BMC MINI MOKE that was produced in London at the BMC factory in its last year. There are only a few originals being sold right now in the US with replica golf carts making up the majority the listings. Those battery powered golf carts and kit cars range anywhere from $17K to $24K for a imitation kit car posted EBAY. So why buy a knockoff when you can have the original. I would put this MOKE as one of the nicest examples in the US! These original MINI MOKES are sure to appreciate nicely as the public becomes aware of them as a result of the introduction of the replicas being sold in the US.

I do not need to sale this car so would not even consider a lowball offer. I would however look at a trade for a 50's Jeep Willys Overland, VW Bus, Jeep Willys Gala, or an ORIGINAL 1974 VW Thing Acapulco. More pictures can be provided on request and I can send a video or do a Live Web View of the car running and driving.

Right now there are only two others for sale that I could find online. This is a hard to find gem as it took me a year and half to locate one and the other two online right now need about $15K in restoration to get them to this condition. I assure you that this car will not disappoint in the appearance and the way it drives. Straight with ZERO movement on the steering wheel. Honestly it drives about a good as my 2013 Mini Cooper!
