Description

1962 Austin Mini Car was running when parked in the garage 10 years ago. When parked the brakes needed to be bleed so currently there is air in the brake lines. Put fresh gas in and tried to start it without luck. I am sure the carburetor needs some service. Includes 4 mounted tires on original rims. 2 mounted studded snow tires. Misc parts (oil filters, points, Air filters, hubcaps, original rear view mirror etc.) Mini repair manual and car cover. BATTERY IS NOT INCLUDED. Car has minimal surface rust. Driver side door was repair and painted prior to me owning it. Hood had dent. Head liner has tear by back window. See pictures.

I have been asked about how many owners. Car was given to my wife on her 16th birthday in 1990. Before that it was owned by her Grandparents, we are not sure how long they owned it before giving it to her. Prior to that, owner history is not known. My wife drove it daily in High School and most of College. After College was driven sporadically until 2005 when it was stored in the garage.

A couple of people have asked about rust underneath and on the floorboards. I got some photos for the driver and passenger sides. Some surface rust on the drivers side. The foam pad on the carpet has deteriorated into dust....but the carpet still looks pretty good.

I jacked up the car today to get better pictures of the underside. Tapped around with a screwdriver and found a rusted out area under the drivers seat. Passenger side looks good. Also there is a hole on the corner of the battery box in back. I added a couple of photos to the photo link
