Description

For those who may not know, 1988 marked a big change in the E24. Cars got a big boost on horsepower, compression and torque and finally lost the ugly US safety bumpers. This car has the smaller lo-pro World bumpers, which are also color-match painted like the Euro model. But if you are interested in this car, you likely already know that...
Horsepower jumped from 182 to 215 in '88. Torque shot up from 188 to 224 lb/ft. This car has a Dinan performance tune, taking it to over 250hp. Also have a new, uninstalled cold-air intake that goes with the car. Original radio in trunk. Complete and flawless tool kit.
*BMW produced for the US only 185 manual transmission 635CSi in '88. Made just 61 in '89.
2 owner car. Only 76K original easy miles. Car has always been garaged and it is very obvious. Paint is deep and brilliant original Jet Black. Never been hit, no body work. Zero rust. No dings, no dents. Just a few tiny paint chips in front, body is 9.9 out of 10 and all original. *Any dings you may see have since been removed perfectly paintless today. Garaged kept, summer-driven only car for 29 years.
Interior is superb. No wear on any of the seats. No tears. Dash is perfect. Leather is dark grey and is soft and supportive. No cracks, no fading anywhere.
Car has been meticulously maintained. I have receipts for significant maintenance totaling SEVERAL thousands of dollars, all in the last 7K miles or less.
Highlights include:
-New front and rear brake pads and rotors, all OEM BMW (<3K miles ago).
-New brake master cylinder.
-New hoses and belts.
-Newly rebuilt power steering pump, new filter and hoses.
-Freshly restored BBS BMW Style 5 17" wheels (stock M6 wheels) and NEW Sumitumo
tires. (Cost $2,000 alone) (<250 miles ago).
-New generator, new battery, new starter, rebuilt radiator.
-Rear self-leveling system swapped with Bilstein shocks.
-New cap and rotor, wires, fuel filter.
Please, don't waste your time or mine with low-ball offers. Do your research and try to find another one like this, you more than likely will not. This one is right here in San Diego sitting in my garage.
Car will be worth in the $20's someday soon, E24 is skyrocketing in value, M6 have more than doubled in value in just last 3-5 years. This car is one of just 246 ever produced and is in spectacular original condition. Please bear this is mind before blindly making offers, thank you.
