1956 BMW Isetta 300
Description
Very very nice 1956 BMW Isetta with 300 cc engine. This is the rarer "european export" version with steel bumpers and small headlights and tail lights, speedometer and odometer are in KM, so it has 77500 KM, not miles. Car was completely restored less than 1000KM ago including body off restoration and all running gear, engine, 4 speed transmission rear end, drive chain, wheels and tires. Upholstery and carpet are new as is sunroof. Glass is excellent as it was replaced also. No rust on this car whatsoever! Engine starts right up with a little choke and runs with no smoke or strange noises, Old leaky gas valve was replaced with new "O" ring version so no leaks from it or Bing carb. Both the parking and main hydraulic brakes work as they should. This car did not look this good the day it came out of the factory in Liege, Belgium in 1956. All light as well as heater and factory defroster work, as this was originally a northern European car. Has one several trophies and awards, but has not been trailer queen and drives great, although not in a hurry, as top speed is about 60 KMH, but wherever you stop, it draws attention. The pictures pretty much tell the story of this cute, excellent restoration, but if you have any questions, email me and I will get back to you. I do require $500.00 deposit by paypal within 24 hours and full payment by certified funds within 7 days, high bidder gets the car and they will not be disappointed.
