Description

Excellent condition 1989 BMW 325iX up for auction. If you're looking at this listing, I probably don't need to tell you very much about these cars. BMW's legendary AWD E30 in original condition, meticulously maintained with all service records going back to when it was purchased from BMW Seattle.
Options include power windows, central locking, heated seats, ABS brakes, passthrough ski bag in the rear seat (never used), 6-button onboard computer (works) with outside temperature alert, and more. Carpet and seats are excellent with no rips, tears or stains anywhere. No cracks in the dash.
A few subtle upgrades have been performed over the years including Bilstein shocks and struts, Blaupunkt Toronto 420 stereo with Bluetooth and Infinity speakers, and Ansa exhaust. Recently replaced the front windshield and the rear glass, so no dings or cracks and the rear defrost works perfectly. Wheels are original BMW iX weaves with all season tires. Brakes and rotors are in great shape with plenty of service life remaining.
The automatic transmission kicks down and shifts smoothly. The AWD system functions well and proved itself again this winter. This is absolutely the ultimate all weather E30.
The car isn't perfect, though (like any 27 year old vehicle). It has some of the usual E30 oil leaks, but on the plus side the engine itself does not use any measurable amount of oil between changes. The driver's side rear power window does not function. The body isn't perfect, with a couple of dings on the hood and roof. There's a slight rumple in the driver's side fender near the headlight, and in the driver's side rear quarter panel under the wheel arch cladding. Otherwise, the body is excellent with no visible rust anywhere.
At 197K, fluids including engine oil (always Mobil 1 10w-30), transmission, transfer case and differential fluids were changed at Strictly BMW in Bellevue, WA. Valve adjustment and new cam cover gasket done at the same time. Oil & filter changed again at 200K miles in April, 2016.
Comes with all documentation, services records and all three original keys (two regular, one valet). This is a fantastic, original, well-maintained example of an AWD 80s icon.
