Probably one of the most recognizable vehicles of all times is the BMW, with its distinctive grill that has been in your face for almost 100 years. The Bavarian Motor Works logo actually represents a propeller from a fighter plane that is constantly in motion. BMW has pride themselves on quality and luxury and has literally almost turned the signed from OPEN to CLOSED for ever on the doors of the Big 3 in detroit when comparing luxury and quality. Once the trading doors opened up and got really hot in the late 60’s for imports, BMW has never disappointed any American buyer and suddenly, the Cadillacs and Lincolns lost their seats in the garage and were parked on the street. If you had a BMW parked in your garage, you were somebody.

This 1994 BMW encompasses all previous luxury versions of the BMW and is wrapped together in this 740 iL. The “L” stands for long wheelbase. Finding these cars in this condition as the one offered here today is ultra rare and very hard to come by. When they built these cars, they were built to drive and to be enjoyed with plenty of creature comforts that almost makes you not want to get out of the vehicle when you’re done. That’s why finding one with super low miles and in this condition is getting harder and harder to do. Now, the market is starting to change on these Bavarian luxury cruise liners. Exterior:

As you can see from the pictures, the exterior is about as new as it can get for being 22 years old. The body is straight and accident free(excellent CarFax). The chrome and bright work are absolutely stunning and shine and appear like new. It’s obvious this car was stored inside and away from inclement weather. All the glass is clear and chip and haze free. The wheels are in excellent condition (rear passenger center cap is cracked...see photo). The tires are in excellent condition and underneath is as solid and rust free as the top. All lights and marker lights work properly and there is a hairline crack in the passenger lower fog light (see photo). Other then two minor imperfections there is hardly any wear on this car for being its age.. You have over $75000 worth of luxury and timeless appearance(what it cost new) for a fraction of the price. You could buy this vehicle as a daily driver, or buy it as a weekend cruiser or show car….it’s that nice!!! Let us know of any questions you may have after viewing the pictures.

Interior:

The interior is also in excellent original condition showing hardly any wear. The dash, seats, door panels and panels all are in excellent condition showing no crack, fades, chips or scuffs. The leather seats are impeccable for their age and show excellent. All the options work as they should and numbers are clear. All power options including a/c work also with the exception of two minor things. The power headrest on driver’s side doesn’t engage...the motor runs but no movement. And the radio works well with a little static at times. All shades operate perfectly in the power shade in the rear. The woodwork inside the interior is as if it were just completed by Norm Abrams from This Old House. Its that nice. Also the carpet and floor mats are in excellent condition and the headliner is beautiful and sunroof operate flawlessly. Please look at the photos and let us know of any questions you may have.

Drive-Train:

The original 4.0L V-8 performs flawlessly pounding out almost 300hp and nearly 300 foot pounds of torque, there is no doubt this luxury liner can perform. If you let it, it will roast the rear tires off the rims….but why would you do that? This car was made to cruise at any speed effortlessly. The engine and drive components were always maintained with records to prove it. Feel confident in flying in and driving home, the car is that nice. All belts, tires, hoses, exhaust, suspension and fluids have been all gone through and this car is road worthy and will provide plenty of years reliable service. The check engine light sometimes comes on and then will go out shortly after it comes on. It runs/drives and handles 100% and there will be no disappointments.
