1983 BMW 633 csi A
Description
6 month ago I bought this BMW 633CSI, with an automatic 4 speed transmission. Not running, been on nonop with CA DMV since 2007.Apparently the first owner stopped driving this BMW due to a no start condition. It appears to be well maintained by him, and regularly used, but many years ago.The no start problem was due to a bad crank position sensor, and I did replace that.I did flush out the old fuel, added fresh, and replaced the in tank fuel pump, and she did start immediately. She drives nicely, shifts fine, and stops well. She came with later style E38 wheels and tires, I also have the original rims and tires with excellent thread.Very straight body, paint that is not really nice, clear is coming off, and there is a dime sized bubble rust on the right rear outer fender lip.Rust free elsewhere, including bottom, fenders, rocker panels, and chassis structure. All windows work, also the sunroof, fans, radio, lights and wipers. The dash is finicky, sometimes everything works fine, sometimes not.Ac belt is installed, so I would expect it to work with adding Freon, also related fans for the AC do work. The compressor does turn, and is not seized.Comes with the original tool kit.rear muffler needs replacement.Interior is complete, no rips or missing parts, just dried up leather.Like to sell as I do not wish to go any further.Have a California title in possession.Contact me with any questions, if unsure, or have questions before making a bid.Think this is a good E24 to make something special out of it, as she appears to have good bones.Willing to sell for a fair price to make that possible, possibly some trade if you live close to SF.
This vehicle is a straight, running and a complete E24, it needs lots of work to be perfect. No guarantees or promises, I tell you what I know.
Henri.
