Description

Up for sale is my 1975 BMW 2002 Race inspired Track/Street car.
This is a CA smog exempt car because it's a 1975 which is the last year of no smog in CA for cars.
I've only had it for a year and a half and I've only driven about 800 miles.
This kick ass 2002 has 44k original miles but the odometer and speedo don't work at this time.
Idon't have any receipts of the build but I do know that it was built by him and the Manofied shop in LA.If you Google "Manofied BMW" you will see some of their work including this car.
Everything else works, including all interior/exterior lights, coolant temp, fuel gauge etc.
The aftermarket oil temp and coolant temp gauge are not hooked up yet.
Most parts are from Ireland Engineering who makes all the high aftermarket stuff for these 2002's.
I just sold a stock 1973 2002 Roundie and this car would run circles around it with it's superior top end power.
Between 3800 and 6000 RPM's this car pulls strong and can hold steady, strong and cool at high RPM's!!!
Here are some specs I can provide which came from the previous owner.
Engine-M10 2.0L engine approx 160hp and 10,000 miles on the build-292 cams-Stainless steel intake and exhaust valves-JE Pistons-HB Rods-ARP head studs-oil pan baffle-Weber 45DCOE Side Draft carbs-Electromotive dristributorless ignition
Drivetrain-E21 320is 5 Speed Transmission-3.91 LSD-228mm clutch disc-E30 M3 pressure plate-lightened flywheel-Stainless steel braided clutch line
Brakes-Ireland Engineering big brake kit with 4 piston calipers and vented front rotors-Rear drum upgrade kit (250mm)-Stainless steel braided brake lines
Suspension/Wheels-Front coilovers (Bilstein sport shock inserts)-Rear Bilstein shocks with race springs-IE front and rear adjustable sway bars-Strut Brace-Rear subframe polyurethane inserts-13x8 Compomotive Wheels (rare)-Toyo Proxes 205-65-13 (will need tires very soon)
Body-OEM Turbo flares and front spoiler widened (2 sets purchased to custom widen)
Interior-MOMO race seats-Rear seat delete-Roll bar
The overall condition of the car is great and the paint isn't concourse quality but it's actually pretty good.
The paint quality and consistency I would say is 8 and there is a pee sized imperfection under the paint just under the pass side rear window.
If it's a rust bubble it hasn't changed since I've owned the car.
The trunk is carpeted and the shock towers true and intact with no corrosion.
I could not find any other rust or previous major damage.
I did crack the front spoiler on a steep driveway, so I removed it (I like the look without it anyways). It would easily repairable.
This is a really fun car to drive, it drives dead straight on a flat freeway and is surprisingly compliant for how good it handles! It sounds great too! I've really enjoyed taking it to cars and coffee and it's often a favorite and turns heads all day long!!!.
Oh did I forgetto tell you this monster has 50% more power then the stock 2002's?????
Feel free to ask any questions as I want to be as thorough as possible to any perspective buyers.
This is an awesome car and it deserves and awesome owner. Good luck!
