1993 BMW 535i
Description
This is a very nice 1993 535i 5-speed with enough cool parts and custom features to make it look like an e34 M5 but remain a very affordable germanic hotrod. No expense has been spared on keeping this German classic on the road. I have a detailed spreadsheet outlining extensive maintenance, restoration and improvement from 2013 to present totaling nearly $15,000!! The M30 big-six has even had a top-end rebuild that is not covered in the receipts. If you are not familiar with BMW's e34 chassis, you are in for a treat as these are often overlooked classics as collectors scoop up e30s with gusto and bid M cars to astronomical prices. The e34 is a long-lived bargain and this one has many, many awesome upgrades to give it the street cred to look like an e34 M5 that would cost 3-4 times as much.
Here is a summary of the cool, custom features on this 535i.
-AC Schnitzer Exhaust ($$$)
-Euro Side Mirrors
-Real BMW M-Pars with 245/40zr18 rear, 235/40zr18 front, lots of life remaining
-Full Size M-Par spare
-LSD Differential
-AC Schnitzer Pedals
-M3 Custom Steering Wheel ($$)
-Near new M-sport shift knob and e-brake cover
-M-Sport front and rear bumpers
-Lowered stance, ride is a little rough but corners like its on rails
-Black alcantara headliner and A, B, C pillar trim
This car is in very good condition with no rust, very few dents and dings and black paint that shines up nicely and is very presentable. The black leather interior is in good condition with no rips or stains and is soft and pliable from regular conditioning. It has a dark tint to keep it cool in summer. It also has a brand-new Duralast Gold made in Germany battery and working AC.
Don't believe anyone that claims a 26 year old car has no issues, here are the primary flaws with this one: paint has some clear burn-through from a prior owner that got too aggressive with a cut and buff, a good wax helps but 3 spots are visible, the drivers side rear door handle doesn't work but opens fine from inside. Sunroof works but needs assistance to open and close.
I have a clean, notarized MT title in hand but the car does have an accident in its past (2005) but has been back on the road for the past 14 years. The prior owner believed the car was hit in the left rear quarter but it was a high quality repair with nothing obvious or visible other than the body shop's paint blend up the C-pillar where it joins the roofline.
I am happy to meet winning bidder at my local airport (BZN) if you are going to fly and drive or to assist with loading and logistics for shipping at buyer's expense or you can pick it up in person.
I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time or to cancel bids if you have no feedback. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, I will monitor the auction daily and help with any missing information.
