For auction is my 1983 BMW 633csi. I purchased the car with the intention of making it the basis of a vintage racer. Once I got into the details of the car, I, as a lifelong BMW aficionado, I just couldn’t bring myself to gut this car into a race car – it was just way too nice to do so. I’m a physician who is approaching retirement and have found myself working more and more hours. I simply have zero free time and have left this car sitting in the garage on a trickle charger. I am planning my retirement soon and I have been selling my nine motorcycles and six cars in anticipation of the move. This is one of the last cars I have chosen to sell as I have always been a major fan of the big BMW coupes. THE CAR HAS A SALVAGE TITLE SO IF THIS BOTHERS YOU PLEASE READ NO FURTHER. The salvage title was a result of an incident in which the car was backed into in a parallel parking scenario by a large pickup truck. The front nose of the “shark” was damaged and the insurance company decided that based on value it was better to total it. Needless to say that wasn’t necessary but that is the way insurance works these days with cars and bikes. The front nose was changed out and you wouldn’t not know it unless you were told. The car is not perfect but IT IS A TOTALLY 100% RUST FREE CAR. Not many of these models are totally rust free but this one is –even in the battery tray and trunk areas. The dashboard looks factory new as indicated by my photos. Please excuse my poor photography skills – we had severe thunderstorms when I was free from work and had time to take these photos so they had to be in the garage.
The interior is in great shape. The sunroof works well and the car runs great. The car has only 77K original miles on it and to my knowledge needs nothing mechanically. I bought a set of BMW mesh wheels and tires for it and they are included with the car for the winning bidder. The Michelin TRX wheels/tires are in great shape but most people change these out. The car is a USA model but has had rare and hard to find euro bumpers added. This took quite some time to find the euro bumpers in good condition and have them replaced. I just could not stand the aesthetics of the huge USA bumpers. I feel I have set the reserve at a very reasonable point as I would like to sell the car as I have no place to store it in the future. This is a great looking and running car that is sure to appreciate in the future. Please feel free to email with any questions. I work seven days per week for three to four weeks straight so please be patient with my response. Thank you for your interest in my BMW.
