This is pretty close to a hardtop convertible 325is. A sport suspension and set of sway bars would complete the package. I have too many projects, so on it goes to the next owner, who I am sure will love it.It doesn’t have a soft top. I took it out because the top material was shot, the linkage needed to be rebuilt and it weighed about 100 lbs. The hard top is much better for sound & climate and it makes a noticeable improvement to the feel of chassis rigidity, plus it has the defroster. It can be removed by one person. With the top off, the car is pretty lightweight too.
Between the chip, injectors, manual trans, light flywheel, Z3 rack, and chassis bracing, this car is an absolute hoot to drive. 3.73 LSD is the perfect ratio for it, and even with stock suspension it is great in tight turns. Cruises happily at 75 all day on the highway without turning crazy RPMs. The bracing and steering rack made the steering feel and response much sharper. The Z3 rack is so wonderfully quick compared to stock, it's what the car should have had from the factory, nicely weighted.
Hoping to find a fellow enthusiast who will appreciate it!
