Description

"No Reserve Auction". The starting price is very reasonable for a 2002 of this build quality. I own two of these cars currently and feel the need to sell one. The title is in my name with current TX registration.
This is my '76 BMW E10 / 2002. The car underwent a complete and extremely thorough restoration from 2001 - 2004. I have repair receipts dating back to 1989 and parts receipts for the restoration. Everything was replaced or refurbished in the restoration. Everything works on the car and I mean everything.
My car was stripped and painted in the original Jade Green. The engine compartment, trunk and underside were all reconditioned. The front seats are E21 Recaro covered in tan leather. The back seat is upholstered in leather as well. The dash is not cracked and the interior is in excellent condition. The center console has gauges, clock and AM-FM radio. The car has just under 10k rain free miles since being restored. It is always stored inside and kept clean. It was a CA car until 2000 when it went to MD for the restoration. It moved to KS after that then to me in TX. This is not a "Rustbelt" car and is extremely solid.
Mechanically the car is excellent. I replaced the front calipers, rotors and pads last June due to a sticky piston in the right front brake. The motor was a new crate Ti unit from BMW and purchased for the restoration. There is less than 10 k miles on the motor. It is running a down draft weber with a modified factory air cleaner. It runs the factory 4 speed transmission and limited slip rear end. I am running 13" VTO wheels with a matching spare. The car is lowered about 1.5" and runs Bilstien shocks. The ride, performance and handling are excellent. The accelerates very well. The transmission is crisp, without any slop, noise or synchro issues. I drive the car weekly and would not hesitate to drive it cross country.
During the restoration the car received all new rubber parts, door / window gaskets, trunk gasket, rubber bumpers, windshield gaskets, pretty much everything. Other items such as door check straps, seat belts, wiring harness and so much more were all purchased from Maximillian BMW and all receipts are present. The ride and tight, rattle free quality of this car is impressive.
Known flaws: 1) The small bumper conversion took place after the restoration. The factory bumper trim holes were filled and touched up with a brush. While the car looks great as it is, it could be concourse with this properly repaired. 2) the car was painted 16 years ago. While there is no structural rust and no rust in the normal places like belt trim, floors, hood, trunk and suspension, there is a single rust bubble appearing in the left front fender just above the rocker panel trim.
This is a very high quality car. I will gladly take it in for a Pre-purchase Inspection to a DFW area shop at the buyer's expense. I will also assist with loading / shipping. Shipping arrangements and payment are the buyer's responsibility.
Full payment is required prior to releasing the car. Pay-pal deposit required within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due by cashier check, cash or bank wire.
