1949 Buick Super Sedanet- Model 56S
This car is a Denver Native.I am the 3rd owner.2nd owner was a elderly lady, former school teacher. Her kids called this car “Bonnie’s Bomb.”The first owner was her aunt.I have the original sales tax receipt and invoice from Downtown Buick.
I was in the process of restoring this car.Had back luck with two painters and never got it done. Haven’t done any work on it in a while, and unlikely will get back to it any time soon. The car came apart for paint a few years ago. Most body work is done except for one of the rockers and dogleg.
I have glass for the car, including the very rare back glass. I took apart 2 parts cars, so should have everything needed to put back together. Good bumpers for recrhrome. Good grille and grille bar, no breaks and only minor potmetal pitting.
Car is original 3 speed manual shift. Has 77,000 miles on it. Ran when started working on it a few years ago. Stored indoors ever since. Should run well with no smoke or noises.
New w/s and back glass rubber. Some work done on the seats but I had to collect them back from the upholsterer unfinished, some new foam, original burlap, springs painted. I have original fabric to cover the seats ($500). Door panels are done.
The holes on the sides have been filled. My plan was to clean it up and go smooth. There is NO side trim included with the car.The rear fenders and deck lid are off the car. I went to Nebraska for a parts car that had the very rare back window still good, and the front half of the right rear fender still good. The original right rear fender had a dent at the rock guard that filled with dirt and leaves leading to rust out. Two fenders were spliced to make one good one
Wheels are powdercoated with 215 x 75R15 like new tires.
Extra windshield glass. Extra set of doors.
See more pics at my website. Roys Vintage Cars.
Please ask questions or come and see the car before you bid.Need to remove within 10 days of auction close.
The car is in Denver. I should be able to pack everything into it for shipping. Do not plan to drive it fully packed for shipping. If you come for it and we don’t need to pack all the parts inside, we should be able to get her running for a drive up onto a car trailer.
If you live in California, I have 3 sets of fenders and a few sets of bumpers, and an extra hood for the car.You buy the car, you can take what you want, but pickup only.No shipping of the CA parts.
