Original Car - Drive it anywhere!
Description
This is a 2 owner car. Aside from 2 very small rust areas in the trunk, it's completely rust free. The car has not been restored, but it has been painted sometime in the past. Amature job at best. The car will need a cosmetic restoration - Paint, Carpet, Seat Upholstery, Dash Pad, and the white vinyl around the door panels. The headliner needs a good cleaning, but I think it's OK - no holes or water stains.
The chrome is actually in excellent condition. The rear bumper is a little faded and will probably need a rechrome, as it has two very small dents in the bullets on each end. The stainless is excellent and about 99% ding free as well. I've been restoring classics for 30 years, and this has to be the nicest, straightest body I've seen in a very long time. The doors close like a bank vault! The entire car is laser straight. Floors are perfect. The only reason the interior is so bad is because when the first owner died, the car sat in his driveway for 10 years before his widow sold it to the 2nd owner, who made sure the car was in perfect mechanical shape.
The car comes with 2 sets of wheels and tires. The missing piece of trim on the hood and the wiper arms/blades are in the trunk. I haven't found the letters for the hood yet, but they may be in the car as well. I will be putting dual exhaust with chrome extensions on the car this weekend. The original exhaust was ripped out accidentally when the hanger got caught on a rack at the repair shop.
This Buick runs like new! With only 65,xxx miles original miles, it features a 401 Nailhead, Power Steering and Power Brakes. You can get in and drive it anywhere in the country. Everything was done that needed to be done to make this car a great driver. The power brakes are new, the power steering has been rebuilt and steers perfectly. Drives straight and true down the freeway. The motor was re-sealed, and a new rear main was put in. So, no leaks, no smoke, no problems at all.
This will be the only time this car will be listed as is. If it doesn't sell, I will be doing the cosmetic restoration it so desperately needs! Then, the price will double, because when I'm done, it will be absolutely stunning! So, here's your chance to get a very rare Buick 4-door hardtop for a reasonable price. I have a lot pics, so let me know what you need to see.
