Next door neighbor. Yep, this incredible Buick belonged to my next door neighbor, and for years I never even knew it existed! Her husband bought the car from the local Buick dealer as a demonstrator with 6,866 miles, and became the first titled owner of the car in January of 1992. It was driven just over 2,000 miles in the next 9 years, and upon his passing, the title was placed in her name, while the car was placed inside the air-conditioned 3-car garage. It resided in the garage since 2001, being removed every six months for an oil change, under the advisement of the area Buick dealer. Everything was checked during those visits, and the car was maintained to the Nth degree regardless of if it was being regularly used or not. It acquired only a few hundred miles of use since 2001, and the decision was finally made to part with the car. It was pulled out of the garage, the original battery was connected, and it started it right up. Going through all the switchgear and options on the car quickly revealed that everything worked as it should, and the car was in extraordinarily good condition both mechanically and aesthetically. Driving it to the store, it was quickly evident that the original Goodyear GSA tires, though new-looking in appearance, had developed flat spots from stagnation, and would need replaced. We elected to leave them on as a means of preserving the cars originality, and I have driven about 40 miles on them, and they are actually starting to come around again a little. If you are going to add the car to a collection and not drive it, I would leave the originals on, but if you plan on using the car, order yourself some replacements as soon as you get it home for safety’s sake. The drive also revealed that the car is incredibly nice. It starts, runs, and idles perfectly. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly up or down. All of the electrical and functional items on the car work as they should, and I personally have made the lights go up and down 25 times with ZERO issues just because I was so amazed as how well they worked! The paint on the car is shiny and glossy, and has probably seen less UV light than any other vehicle on earth! They would have the Buick dealer clean the car every six months when it was serviced, and it shows. The little marks and scuffs on the car are mainly from being in the garage, and they are very light marks. There is no sign of any damage or disrepair on the car, and it looks nicer than most 2 year old vehicles you will see at a big dealerships lot. Inside, the leather seating surfaces on the seats, door panels, dash cover, center console, and steering wheel covers all look fantastic, with no rips, tears, or damage evident. Power seat controls work as they should, as do the seat belts. All of the tilt, turn signal, and cruise functions on the column work as they should, and all wipers, lights, power mirror, power lock, and twilight controls work correctly too. AM/FM stereo with CD works as it should, and sounds great! Climate control works perfectly on all settings, and the LED display is clean and fully functional. Digital dash works perfectly, and all gauges appear functional and correct. All of the LED lights are functional and there are no display issues evident. Carpeting is still in exceptional condition, and all of the storage cubby’s and floor mats show to be in excellent condition as well. The car has never been smoked in, and has not interior odors whatsoever. Passenger side PW/PL panel has some sort of a stain on it from something dripping. Since we don’t do full details on our cars, all I can tell you is that it wouldn’t come off with a damp towel. I will try to find something to clean it with over the next few days, but for now, know that the little stains are present. The trunk is exceptionally clean, and if you lift the carpeting, you will see the unused spare tire resting it its cubby with all the jack equipment, also unused. **NOTICE** While taking pictures of the car, I noticed that the trunk key cover had come off the car at some point. It has been repaired by the Buick dealer, and the last photo shows it installed. Open the hood, and you are met by an engine bay so clean that it is shocking. EVERYTHING looks neat as a pin underneath, and the paint is shiny and clean on the strut towers too! Save for the few maintenance items replaced over the years, the car is original under hood, and runs and performs just as well as it looks. The car does not smoke, weep fluid, or have any issues in running or idling. There are no check engine or service warning lights on in the car. It has all of the original factory installed emissions items intact. Braking is smooth and sure, and the car comes down from speed with no pulling or wander. Except for the aforementioned flat spots on the tires, the car rides exceptionally well, and has no sag, wallow, or bottoming tendencies while driving. Ride is smooth, and the car tracks straight down the highway. Wheels show like new, and have no signs of any curb damage or issues. The car comes with one functional remote and set of keys. She was unaware of what became of the other remote and set of keys, but if they turn up one day, we will get them to the new owner. Paperwork associated with the car includes: ORIGINAL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE CARD ORIGINAL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE GUIDE/MANUAL ORIGINAL GM SERVICE SIGNALS PAMPHLET ORIGINAL BUICK “LETTER PERFECT” DELIVERY FORMS ORIGINAL GM CUSTOMER SATISFACTION FORM ORIGINAL BUICK REATTA CRAFTSMAN’S LOG SIGNED BY EVERYONE ASSIGNED TO THE CARS FINISH OUT. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a late-model future collectible for your collection, or simply get a car that’s as reliable as a new one, yet still accepted at car shows and events and qualifies for Antique Plates and insurance in most States. It has a clean and clear Autocheck report and a clean and clear Florida title. Take a moment to review the 100 photos and video, and then call me with questions at 941-286-0889.
