Description

This was restored around twenty years ago, and has never been driven or parked in the rain since, it has a clear title with no liens, the salvage title is not due to major reconstruction requiring any frame work but rather a body repair plus engine and transmission from a low mileage donor car. The speedometer is from the donor car and original miles are 54,596, it hasn't been turned over. The body is nice and straight and with some touch up paint on a few minor chips and one bondo crack on a seam splice, it is still nice enough I would not want to park next to the store, it is nice enough I would be willing to walk some distance to avoid door dings. Owner hasn't driven this car very much in the last few years and is down sizing to move. Getting this ready for a car show and parade a week this Saturday unless it sells first. Put new wheel cylinders in it this last week. Top was put on new a few years ago but as mentioned it has never been driven in the rain or left sitting outside, has a glass rear window. New boot cover was purchased with top. Car is forty miles north and 40 miles east of Minot, ND. After taking pictures of the undercarriage I noticed fresh oil from gasket leaks, with the low miles on the engine I would recommend replacing gaskets, flushing the radiator, check hoses etc., before making a long trip. Sale price is in US dollars, no reserve beyond opening bid.The rear body above the frame from the exterior rear deck was replaced from the donor car to replace rusty parts, you might notice the rust on the rear suspension parts from the original frame. This car was built for Jim's wife, Jim didn't exactly like the rear part of the car folding up to absorb the impact of a rear end collision because it left the gas tank vulnerable so you might notice a slight reinforcement that was added in one of the photos. The chrome piece across the windshield frame is missing and the kick panel chrome piece is rusted, the rest of the chrome looks pretty good. If I bought this car I would put new gaskets on the valve covers, pan and new head gaskets and put in new valve guides at the same time and front and rear seals on the motor and transmission and stop the rust you see on the undercarriage, with other minor maintenance. I would also convert to electronic ignition, there is other maintenance too like shocks, exhaust, hoses, etc. but then I would expect only minor repairs in the next 70 to 90 thousand miles at which point the motor probably would be ready for an overhaul.
