Description

This auction is for a very nice, well-built 1937 Buick street rod, Ultra Violet Purple with sort of a cherry color base when in the bright sunlight. It has a light grey cloth interior throughout. We have owned the car for over 22 years, the nose was repainted 5 years ago. We own a couple more street rods but this one is the most comfortable to drive and is super dependable. Perfect family car. It can be used as a daily driver if you choose to, this car is not a "trailer queen" by any means. The paint job isn't perfect, it's a driver, but we have won numerous trophys with it. We have used this car for 5 weddings and prom! The car has attended many street rod events and functions up and down the East coast. You may have seen it in Louisville, KY at the Street Rod Nationals, in Syracuse, NY at the Nationals or Burlington, VT at the NSRA and the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona, FL. The car draws a crowd where ever it goes. The car is all steel with custom touches that really set it off. It features a 6 inch chop on the roof, suicide rear doors with power electric pins for safety, Dakota digital dash, custom grill and many other neat features. It is powered by a recently completely rebuilt Cadillac 472 cubic inch motor(vintage 1972)less than 800 miles have been put on since rebuilt. Trans is a rebuilt turbo 400 with a 10 bolt Chevy rear. Has heavy duty front and rear stabilizer bars for stability. Power steering, power front disc brakes, rear drum, working heat and air conditioning. The best griffin alum radiator with mechanical fan and an aux elec fan. Tilt steering wheel, Sony am-fm stereo cassette. The front suspension is out of a 78 Monte Carlo(front clip) which is air bagged with an on board compressor to raise and lower the front end. Wheels are alum centerline with 205-65-15 radials up front and 225-75-15 on rear. The glass is bronze tinted. This was a nice perfectly solid car when turned into a rod. No rust issues of any kind. It is nice and solid underneath, nice frame, etc. Body is super straight, doors open and close like new. A lot of attention to detail was done. Everything in the car works and recently went through a 23 safety inspection with NSRA. If you purchase the car you will get a detailed instruction list on everything installed. The purple his and her jackets that match the car will be included. This is absolutely a turn key ready to go hot rod. The only reason we are selling is because we are getting older and say it's time to thin the herd! We have a clear and current Maine transferable registration with proper paperwork for a smooth transaction. We require a $500.00 dollar deposit at close of auction with balance of a wire transfer to be paid within 3 days of auctions end. Buyer to pay all transportation costs, if local, we will deliver!
