Carfax available upon request. 4 owner survivor car. 99% original, untouched and unmolested. All stock except the following items:
Exhaust - was replaced with a cat-b Hooker dual exhaust. It still retains the stock, functional unmodified catalytic convertor.
Bumper fillers - both the front and rear stock bumper fillers were replaced with 1 piece aftermarket fillers from Spoolfool which look great and will not crack or chalk up in the future.
Battery - original battery has been replaced.
Posi - The car was an open rear from the factor (non G80 RPO code) and was upgraded with a factory replacement Eaton posi unit. It now has posi-traction with the stock 3:42 gear ratio unchanged.
Other than that the car retains factory stock items from the air filter snorkel assembly all the way to the factory GM computer chip, turbo, injectors and fuel system.
Car has original paint, no body work. One of the best factory paint cars I've seen in my many years of owning these Turbo Buicks. These cars are notorious for paint checking, hens feet, or peeling. There is no paint checking or peeling and the shine is a mile deep. There are a few minor paint chips that have been touched up that you would expect in a 30 year old car, but no paint or body work. Body is a solid 9+.
The weather strips are soft and supple and not dried out and cracked that you would find in cars that sat outside for years. The windows seal very well and there is no added wind noise while driving at 70+ mph.
Wheels are in fantastic condition. No chipping of the black painted areas and the chrome is bright and shiny with no evidence of rust or bubbles. They have factory replacement and correct GoodYear Eagle GT II tires with raised white letters. They even has the original gray valve stem caps.
The interior is a 10. There are no rips or stains anywhere. The seats still feel like brand new, they are not flat and worn out and still have that "sheen" on the gray. You can see from the pictures how nice the door panels are which don't have any of the common issues you would find in many cars with cracked and missing door pull strap and eschuchen covers. The back seat looks like it's never been sat in. The previous owner replaced the headliner because it was beginning to sag. The material was OEM replacement and if I did not mention it, you would never know. The steering wheel leather is in great shape and has no tears, rips or cuts. The horn ring is not crack which is also a common issue with these cars.
Mechanically the car is very sound and drives very tight as you would expect a 25k mile car. The transmission shifts very quick and firm and not a mushy slipping feel that you find on some cars that have been driven hard and raced. The engine starts up quickly, does not leak or smoke and idles smooth, for a stock chip car. Idle and behavior is much improved with after market chips, but I will leave that for the new buyer to determine.
The A/C blows ICE cold and was converted to R134 years ago. It will freeze you out. The evaporator condenser was replaced at this time as you can tell because it is not black.
The power antenna is stuck in the "UP" position. The motor still works, but the internal cable has broken. I have the repair kit to fix this and it comes with the car. I may fix this before auction close. I have the antenna unplugged at the moment so the motor does not burn out which is very common with a broken cable.
Car options are typical - solid roof, a/c, power windows, doors, seat & power antenna.
I believe I have covered all of the major items and described the car accurately. If I have missed any details or you have any further questions, please ask and I will respond asap.
Shipping and insurance cost is 100% the responsibility of the buyer. I will be available to assist and ensure I'm available to make this as easy as possible.
