Description

This is the first (and likely only) time this car will be listed on ebay. I have a Buy It Now price listed, but realistic offers are welcomed and encouraged. Please just be serious and prepared to follow through.
Call Doug at 913-461-4890 for questions or to arrange purchase. A video of the car is available for viewing, call or email.
This is a gorgeous, well-sorted, classic Buick that you can truly jump in anytime and drive anywhere. It's had a ton of money spent on it, and will be sold for far less than invested. It's been a Kansas car most of its life, and appears to retain all its original panels, including quarters, floors, and trunk. It is powered by a 401 V8, automatic transmission, and power steering that works effortlessly. Other extras include Vintage AC and heat, a Sony 12 Disc CD changer/stereo, a leather/billet steering wheel, and high quality 17" billet aluminum Weld wheels with like-new Z-rated Kumho Ecsta tires. If you're looking for something fun, rare, and different to cruise in reliably this summer, this is the ticket.
Paint and body are in excellent overall condition, as you can see in the pictures. Panels are super straight, body gaps are excellent, and doors and windows open and shut beautifully. Color is a burgandy wine metallic with a deep shine, and clean, smooth finish. The rear quarters had small patches repaired with metal when restored, but this was not, and is not, a rusty car. Floors, frame rails, and trunk are all super solid with no issues or repairs needed. All glass is clear, chip-free, and in excellent condition, with the front windshield being a newer replacement. All of the stainless was removed, straightened and polished when the car was restored. Both chrome bumpers, grille, and headlight bezels were all rechromed and look like new. Wheels and tires look even better in person and have no curb rash or damage.
Interior was restored back to stock materials, patterns, and colors. Dash has a new dash pad, chrome was redone, and new paint applied. Seats are in excellent condition with no rips or tears, seat belts have been installed, door panels have been redone and are in good shape, and carpet, headliner and Buick logo floor mats were all redone when car was restored. Some wear is visible, however, nothing that needs replacement unless buyer is looking to take the car to the next level. The trunk is in original condition, with the typical Buick 3 piece trunk mat that is affixed to the floor and inside quarters.
Mechanically, the car starts very easily, high and low idles both work, power steering works great, and it drives like a dream at any speed. Let go of the wheel and it tracks straight down the road. Even in cold weather, the car starts right up. 4 wheel drum brakes work well, you just need to remember these cars don't stop as quickly as new cars do. Exhaust, shocks, etc are all in good condition and need no work. I would not be afraid to take this car on a long trip, and the previous owner did just that, driving to various hot rod shows throughout the midwest. Wipers, signals, headlights (including bright lights) all work as they should.
This car is a super nice driver that is beautiful, solid, fun, and dependable. It is not without its minor flaws, however, and I'm being up front about those I've noticed. The horn is relocated to under the dash, but needs the connections checked. It worked a couple months ago, but lately has not. The turn signals do not cancel on their own. The 12 disc changer probably needs cleaning, as it can skip sometimes (radio works great). The hood has a couple of minor flaws under the paint, but nothing requiring any immediate attention. The interior has minor wear on the carpet, sail panels, and a tiny corner of the driver's door panel.
READ THIS: I encourage anyone to come see the car in person and drive it. It will seal the deal. Hire an inspection service if you like, I will make the car available. Having said those things, satisfy yourself on the car's condition before bidding. It is a 50+ YEAR old car, not a 50 DAY old car. It will have some wear and signs of use. If you are an unreasonably picky person who expects perfection for your $20-ish-k classic, either come see it first, or just go away now, I have no interest in dealing with you. A $500 deposit is due within 3 business days of auction close, and remainder must be paid within 7 business days. I can help make all transport arrangements, but buyer is responsible for those costs. Car comes with a clean title. Motivated to sell, so reasonable offers will be considered, but don't expect a car this nice to be given away.
