1964 Buick Special Base
Description
Up for auction is a 1964 Buick Special convertible. In 1964 the Special was a bargain basement version of the Skylark. This one originally had a V6 and automatic but that has been upgraded. The engine installed is a .020 over 350 Chevrolet. 9:0 to 1 compression, a 375/350 hydraulic cam, vortec heads, a weiand stealth manifold, holley 600 carb, and a Mallory comp 9000 ignition. The transmission is a turbo 350. The rear end is stock.
The tires are almost new but they are the stock size. I was going for the sleeper look. It has a nice Clarion stereo system, an aftermarket tach, and aftermarket gauges. The interior looks new. It was done right before I bought it. I have only had it out a couple times.
Now for the fine print:
Due to family issues, I haven't driven, or even started the car in 4 years. When I parked it, it was having overheating issues and had an oil leak that I couldn't track down. I drained the coolant and it has been sitting.
Do Not plan on driving the car home. Don't plan on starting it here. Just please plan on trailering it away and working on it at your place.
The body needs work. The guy who had it before me did an amature job patching the floors. You can see by the pictures that there are rust issues to address.
This could be a fun hot rod, and I wish I had time for it. But it needs a new home.
This car is being sold AS-IS, no warranty, and No Return.
