1972 Buick Riviera GS Gran Sport Leather Sunroof 455 Loaded Family Owned
Description
For sale is a rare 1975 Buick Riviera Gran Sport with 71,000 original miles. Loaded with every available option that year including leather and moonroof. Garaged. No accidents. No rust, no patch work. Leather seats. Rust free body is straight, paint is nice. Glass and trim are very nice. Vinyl top is excellent. Years ago the owner had the custom dealer Buick emblem removed, while he was having the emblem holes filled he decided to repaint the entire car the factory color due to someone key scratching the side. Mechanically sound, get in and drive her anywhere. Starts right up and purrs, no smoking or knocking, shifts smoothly, stops nicely, boat like ride, feels like you're floating on air-they don't make them like this anymore! Frame has no patches or rot. Everything seems to work but the clock, a new in box stock clock is included with the purchase. Original sunroof key and envelope included. Only 3102 of these 'fourth generation' were manufactured.
Equipped with stock numbers matching 455ci 7.5L V8 engine, 3 speed ST-400 automatic transmission, vinyl top, 6 way power seats, factory sunroof, AC (not cold), stock am/FM stereo. All 4 tires are in very good shape, no sidewall cracking with good tread. Spare in trunk. New battery. The headliner fabric under both sun visor's is frayed (see pic), the rest of the interior is excellent except for a rip in the rug on the rear passenger floor, a floor mat will cover this. Leather seats are excellent. I took the car for a nice ride before writing this ad, it didn't leave any leak spots on the driveway when I parked it. Titled as an antique. Both bumpers are straight but show wear. For all the people who asked, the pic you see with a curved line going across the windshield is a reflection of a wire in the background, not a crack.
Mature owner aquired the car from his father in law in 1979 who purchased it at the dealership in '75 and took very good care of it. Father in law added aftermarket gauges before he passed away, including air ride shocks (disconnected) The title went from the father in laws name to the mother in laws, then into the current owners name. After 38 yrs of loyal ownership he is finally selling and asked me to list this online for him. There is some misc. paperwork from over the years. I have 63 closeup pictures I can email you upon request, just ask. NADA values as of today 11/10/17: average $6,960, high $14,640.
