This absolutely pains me to do this, but after much hard work and a ton of money I must sell this car! A move, no time, 17 other cars (if I remember correctly) and buying a house has left me without any other viable option!
This is technically a 1984 Buick Regal T Type, but as you know it is the same build etc as a Grand National. This car is an 84', but it has been converted to a complete 87' intercooled setup. According to other similar builds this should be about a 11 second car!!! The engine was completely rebuilt with the following;
87 "109" block
Wiseco pistons (~9.2:1) bored .20 over (PT120A2)
ARP bolts throughout
Balanced
Brand new timing cover (Weber power products)
Brand new oil pump that has been ported and blueprinted (Weber power products)
Ported and polish heads with LT1 springs and 1.77 valves
All new pushrods
New roller cam button
Kenne Bell? 208/208 cam
Motron 60# injectors
RJC power plate
Terry Houston Down pipe
Brand new NOS all three fan relays (these were so hard to find!!!)
255lph fuel pump
Hotwire kit (installed already)
New 2800 stall torque converter
Transmission is supposed to have been rebuilt, but I do not have proof.
All new sensors, temp, knock, temp etc
Electric dual fan conversion with harness (brand new)
Cam tool
NOS throttle cable
All new hoses
This car is just about all new! Yes, it is not actually running and driving yet. It still needs a couple parts purchased and installed (will list below).
This car has all new paint (WA8555)! The grill was painted, all new bumper fillers and all blacked out! It comes with a yet to be installed rear spoiler.
This car has the rare Lear Seagler sport bucket seats! The complete interior is brand new, with real leather front seat inserts. This was done perfectly and looks and feels outstanding. Seats, headliner, door panels, carpet the entire interior!
This car is just about ready to go, but will need the following Bought and Installed;
Transmission dipstick tube
Radiator hold down (the 84 should be able to adapt, but 87 would be ideal)
AC lines (I do have the pump and the car has a new core, just needs the one line, about $75)
2 transmission bell housing bolts (needs the lowers, uppers are installed, if I remember correctly)
New Chip for the new build ($85)
Parts that just need to be installed (already bought);
Intercooler fan, shroud and cooler itself
Downpipe
Air intake
Radiatiator (Brand new)
Electric fans (Brand new)
Alternator
Power steering modification (install new reservoir and adapt)
Driveline
Full case of Joe Gibbs Driven break in oil
There might be something I am missing, but that is pretty close to what is still needed.
I bought this from the original owner an 82 year old man in 2015 and immediatelystarted the restoration. I even still have the original title. This was/is a rust free car and was a fantastic candidate for a restoration
I am asking a very reasonable $11,900 obo. This is an absolute steal given what has been done to the car and not much is still needed (~$250 in parts), both in cost of parts needed and the labor to finish it. The wheels pictured are not included in the price, as they are for a different rig, but they can be purchased separately if need be.
Trades; I will entertain a trade, that said I don't really need another project. I really want a boat (wakeboard), Sport bike, KTM 300 and possibly others, but cash is ideal.
That said the deal gets even better! With a full price offer (or really closed to it) it comes with the complete 84 setup. The 84 engine was rebuilt and only ran for a few miles before the bad timing cover/oil pump took out the rod bearings. I do have a new crank so technically that engine could be put back together. But I still have the complete engine, harness, ecm, injectors etc for the 84.
