57 Buick Super 2 door Hardtop
Rare 1957 Buick super has original engine, transmission, and interior seats and was said to be numbers matching by previous owner. Power steering and power brakes. Owner died in middle of restoration. It took a family friend a number of years to get clean Colorado title, which it now has. A lot of mechanical work had been done. Rebuild engine (previous owner said no mile on rebuild) transmissions work, brakes, and more where done to make this quit mechanically sound compared to its rough outer appearance.
Body is in really good shape with only one small rust spot in front of rear drive side wheel well. All chrome is there even the lettering. Plastic to the rear passenger taillight is missing along with domes to front turn signals. Trunk look to be rust free along with passenger and rear seats but, driver side has a few pinholes as you can see in pictures. All the glass is in good condition except the driver side window has cracks in it.
The interior was taken apart in preparation for paint by previous owner. Interior seat has original upholstery still on them. Door panels, window cranks, and interior trim have been removed and put in trunk but looks to all be there and in decent condition. Carpet was removed and discarded. Original radio. Steering wheel is in great shape too.
I thought I could take on this renovation while still trying to finish another, but I think my eyes where bigger then my wallet.
