Description

Three-owner, low-mileage 1960 Buick Invicta 4-Door with graceful Delta wing fins and sculpted, jet-age body styling! The panoramic front and rear windscreens on this hardtop sedan give its greenhouse a truly open and minimalist aura. The exterior is finished in Gm's Adriatic blue with Arctic White flat-top metal roof. Chrome and bright-work are in beautiful, original condition, reflecting 58 years of indoor storage. Power comes from the legendary 445 Wildcat Nailhead V-8 (401 Cubic Inch) with four-barrel carburetor, custom dual exhausts and Buick's Turbine Drive automatic transmission; everything performs reliably. Tap Start system lets you fire up the 445 with a touch of the gas. Inside, there is seating for six on excellent original upholstery, but with added safety belts. Power Steering is effortless, and tunes come from the original AM Sonomatic radio. Full instrumentation, including a unique "Magic Mirror" dash that adjusts to the driver's height.1960 was the Invicta's second year. Dubbed "The Banker's Hotrod", it was the performance-oriented Buick of its day, and the forerunner of the Buick Wildcat. This specimen is in beautiful condition, inside and out. 111,000 pampered miles. Full service records included, as are a set of the original 1960 Buick shop manuals. Price for this gem is $21,500. This 1960 Buick Invicta 4-door Hardtop Sedan is largely original, yet has been lovingly restored where needed. The body was repainted in GM's Adriatic Blue (a match to the original color). The 445 Wildcat V-8 (401 CI) is a cleaned and detailed original (numbers matching). Underneath, the car is very clean with minimal surface wear. Original bias-ply spare tire with correct wide-whitewall bias-ply tires all around. For safety, correct-color safety belts added along with GM dual-master cylinder brake system. New, correct Tuxedo Blue carpet replaces original faded carpet. Seats are original with original Mylar-lined pattern. Shows minimal wear on front seat. All accessories in car are operational, excepting dash pod-clock (needs cleaning). All in all, a great specimen and collector's car!
