1940 Buick Super 2 door coupe
1969 Buick 350 V-8 with a 2 barrel carb. with low miles on rebuildTurbo 350 auto transTilt wheelPower steeringFront manual disc brakesElectric cooling fan on RadiatorFront suspension is still stock coil springs etc.The car was stored in doors for over ten years. I bought it and boiled the gas tank, flushed the fuel lines, put a new fuel pump in. I flushed the cooling system and had the radiator rodded. Installed a new water pump. Put oil down the cylinders and top end and brought it back to life the right way.
The car runs and drives well. The engine is strong and sounds great!The body and trunk and floors are solid. There is some rust on the inner rockers on both sides but replacement panels are available if desired. It's definitely not a "rust bucket" though. (see pics.)All the glass is good except the driver's side rear glass has a couple cracks in it but it's still there.I do have a box of odds and ends. Trunk handle assembly, window cranks. wiper parts etc. so it's pretty complete.All the electrical works. Headlights, turn signals, brake lights etc. (12 volt now of course)The interior is old but still usable and not torn up.Overall, it's just a cool old hot rod that you can jump in and drive now or tear down and fix up as you drive etc.
I've got too many projects and this one just sits.
