This is an ALL ORIGINAL car that spent most of its life down in California. Original Factory 350-V8 (280-hp, 10.25:1 compression, 375-lb-ft torque), 2-speed Super Turbine 300 Automatic transmission, 3.23 rear axle ratio & 14-inch Rally wheels. This car has the very RARE Factory Air Conditioning & the rare "Sport" steering wheel. It is the correct Factory "Cameo Cream" color paint with the correct 2-tone white & black interior. The carpet was old & faded, so it has been removed, and to also inspect the floors, as you can see it still has the factory insulation on the floors. It needs some basic restoring (paint, minor parking lot dings & scratches), but it still looks good & runs good. It is in "average" unrestored condition (a 20-footer). It has 168,000 original miles.
I would rate it as being about 90% rust free, having a little typical surface rust for a car of its age. The body is straight, solid & rust free. The fenders, doors, 1/4 panels, floors and the trunk are good & solid. It could use a new paint job, but still looks ok from 20-feet away.
Knowing that the floors are nice & solid, I had a new carpet installed. The car sat for many years without being driven, so the original 50 year old quadrajet carburetor was having choke & accelerator pump issues (probably had never been rebuilt over the years), so I also just had a new Edelbrock 600-cfm carb with the electric choke installed. I still have the original QJ carb that goes with the car. It runs good & goes down the road straight,, but it still needs some basic maintenance like a good tune-up, oil change, tranny fluid & filter & a heater core, but most of you guys can do that stuff yourself. Has new T/A radial tires.
Current NADA values are as follows (add on the options for the 280-hp 350 motor, Air Conditioning & the "California" package),,
Low - $9,81, ,, Average - $23,25, ,, High is $32,450.
