The was a beautiful car twice -new, redone in the eightiesand nowready for the third time. I bought this from a friend who started the project and his health causedhis progress to stop. I thought I would take it over and it was set aside by other projects of my own. I no longer have the interest to start another.
I'll do my best to describe what I have.
All the body work was done and done very well. Thesheet metalis straight as any you will find. The floor pan will need some patch panels but the rockers and all other structure and panels are rust free and damage free. This was always a California car until I moved it to Oregon. The paint looks good but all needs to be redone.
The frame was professionally modified to accommodate a MustangII suspension with rack and pinion steering and disk brakes. The column wasreplaced witha 90's GMC truck unit with tilt and cruse control. The rest of the car is completely stock. It has the original seats that were redone at some point in a leather-look vinyl. I have all the glass, trim, handles, bumpers, radiator, and more. Most of the chrome was redone and still in the plastic wrap from the plater. I have the original straight 8 motor and trans, in pieces if you want it for trading fodder. The rear-end is 1941. I do not have door panels.
The engine, never installed in this car, is a stock (never rebuilt) 455 from a 1972 Buick wagon. It was a good running engine before pulled and still turns over. The trans is a TH400 from the same car.
Because I have parts all over the place, this is a pick-up only. I can't ship all this. I'll help any way I can but I believe a Uhaul with a car trailer is the most efficient.
Thanks for looking in.
