Description

Up for sale is one very rare 1952 Buick Roadmaster Riviera 76R hardtop...these hardtops are almost impossible to find in any condition these days, never mind in as nice a condition as this! It is wearing it's original paint combination "25" as per the data tag, which is Apache Red with a Carlsbad Black roof. This might be the only surviving 76R from 1952 in that color scheme (paint is not original though). Power windows and seat, however this particular Roadmaster did not ship with the power steering option although it does have the standard Carter WCFB 4-barrel carburetor. "Fireball 8" 320c.i. straight-eight engine, in a nicely detailed engine compartment with all correct decals applied. Interior upholstery could use some attention...headliner is original but has a small tear, and the door panels from the armrest down are original as well. The seats and upper door panels are not original or correct although I will include a sample of the correct fabric from a well-known auto restoration company which has the ordering information, should you wish to return the interior to perfect stock condition. Everything works; the 6V tube radio had it's vibrator replaced with a solid-state model and a hidden and easily-removable RediRad has been installed to allow you to use a mp3 player or phone (anything with a 1/4" output jack) while you drive, but you can still maintain the stock appearance and the radio functions as normal. A period-correct "Dynalite" Buick-manufactured accessory has been installed which lights up the shift quadrant on the steering column for the transmission. The bad news...the exhaust manifold is cracked, although new reproduction ones are available they take some work in a machine shop to adapt to the 4-barrel intake manifold but it can and has been done. The paint needs some touching up in a few spots, as does the chrome, and the driver's side door and windows need to be adjusted a bit as well. Some very minor dings in the stainless trim. Other than that this car is beautiful and is one heck of an easy winter project, or just drive as is! If this sits on eBay for any length of time I will start working on the upholstery etc. and jack the price up to reflect that, I'm not a highly motivated seller, so grab this now while it's at this price.
I have shipped a few classic cars in my time and I know what a hassle it can be dealing with the shipping companies that bid your job and then sit on their hands, so I'm flexible about storing the vehicle for a little while if needed and working with whichever hauler you use.
