Description

Body off frame restored! Gorgeous factory triple black with gleaming chrome. It is especially clean underneath. We got this car from a gentleman that collected strictly Buick Electras from around the country. This is one of the best anywhere and the 225 Custom is the top of the line. EXTERIOR: It is a stunning car to look at. The Regal black is like a mirror, you could read the owner's manual in the reflection. All of the chrome and trim... sparkles. The owner added 15 inch new old stock chrome Buick mags with new radial tires with a wide white stripe. I'll start up front and work my way back describing it. The bumper is show quality chrome, the grills, headlight bezels, trim on the front edge of the hood and fenders, emblems look like new. The hood and fenders fit square and flush. Paint has a glass finish. Both sides of the car are straight and look like mirrors. The rocker moldings, door handles, trim is excellent. The glass is all crystal clear. The stainless moldings around all the glass is polished like chrome. The vinyl top is like new. The trunk fits right, has glass finish. In back the big bumper, tail lights, moldings look practically brand new. The jambs are slick paint, clean door bottoms, new weatherstrips. I am very impressed with what I see. Other then a few minor touch ups and the remote mirror is very good not new, this car is slick! INTERIOR: It is excellent inside too. Looking in the back seat everything looks pristine. The seat, side panels, speaker deck, any chrome or plastic trim; it is all like new. The front seat and door panels are just as nice. Headliner, visors look new. Carpet is new, has Buick floormats. The entire dash pad is mint, no cracks. The bezels, gauges, vents are excellent. Seatbelts are excellent. Steering wheel has some cracks and the woodgrain decal is faded, we are trying to locate new woodgrain. Other yhen that it is a really nice interior. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A big 455 with 370 horsepower moves this car with ease. It's full of accessories- power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and cruise control. All of the components, brackets, hoses, wires are in excellent condition. Everything looks stock, no custom changes. It is detailed to show condition. The bottom side of the hood is clean metal painted satin black with new hood insulation, the squirters are even hooked up. Correct finish on the hinges. The firewall, inner fenders, radiator support is all perfectly smooth metal with a nice satin black finish. The nuts and bolts are all clean, not painted over. The radiator looks to be in excellent shape, has new hoses, proper shroud and clutch fan. The air conditioning system has been serviced and updated to R134 freon. Alternator, wiper motor, blower motor, brake booster all look like new. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid, it is completely boxed and carpeted. It has a brand new tire for a spare on a painted rim. The jack is restored. The bottom of the trunk lid and jamb is smooth gloss black, weatherstrip is new. UNDERSIDE: Wow, it's nicer under here then I expected! No rust, not greasy or grimy. It looks like a 6 month old car. It had a body off frame restoration. The metal is spotless, no rust. Really, it's not even pitted. Look at the bottom of the inner 1/4 panels, it's spotless. It all has a smooth semi gloss finish. Up front the steering and suspension is all new. Even the grease fittings are clean. It has the big Buick finned brake drums, new springs and shocks. The bottom of the motor is spotless. Every bolt, wire, bracket is super clean. The trans is the same way, looks like it was installed yesterday. U-joints look new. Has a stock dual exhaust with quiet flow mufflers and resonators. Air shocks in back. Fuel tank looks new. This is a very classy looking car. The quality surpassed my expectations. 1970 was the peak year for horsepower, making this the year to have. I dont think you will find a better one!
