1940 BUICK 2DR CONVERTIBLE
Description
This 1940 Buick Convertible began as a restoration project approximately 20 years ago. As you can see, the reassembly process started and was never finished due to health issues. This car has been in storage for the last 15 years. The buyer can do one of two things with this car. Assemble it as is and have a wonderful driver quality car, or repaint the car while still mostly disassembled. Even though the paint still looks great after 20 years, it wasn't a high quality paint job. The only pieces that aren't painted are the two hood halves. They are in primer and are not pictured. This car seems to be 100% complete. As you can see, the dash and all instruments have been restored and are still beautiful. The new bumpers are still wrapped in paper. All chrome has been redone. The seats were reupholstered but are showing age, as is the interior trim panels. The engine was completely rebuilt and as you can see a new wiring harness has been partially installed. The convertible top frame had been restored. The original back window is present as is some of the original top material. I cannot stress enough that all the big money had already been spent on this car. If you are an old Buick expert, this should be your bread and butter. I have never tried to start or turn the engine. It looks like the floor had some patches welded. Other than that, extremely solid.inFeel free to ask any questions. The reserve is probably what you'd pay for a basketcase, so bid with confidence. You will not be disappointed.
