1961 Buick Invicta convertible. 401 nail head/ 445 wildcat. Factory power brakes, power steering, air conditioning.( Ac not working. all hooked up and all there, just never messed with it to make it work) Car runs and drives excellent. Drive with one finger anywhere. New lowered springs and shocks all the way around from jamco. Rides nice. Not bumpy or choppy. New Ridler wheels. Rear are 18x9.5 with new tires. Fronts are 17x8 with new tires. Did all necessary maintenance to make drivable. Cleaned gas tank and installed new sending unit. (gauge still not working) Rebuilt factory carberator, New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser. Fresh oil change. Brakes were gone through roughly 3 years ago with new rubber lines and wheel cylinders. All 4 corners are factory drum. New convertible top was put on roughly 3 years ago with new rubbers. Top goes up and down like it should with the touch of the factory switch. The hold down hook is broken on the passenger side. Always drive in nice weather with the top down so I never worried about it. It can be purchased new fairly cheap. I purchased this car from the original owners. From what I was told, the dad bought it new and gave it to his daughter years later when she went off to college. Car sat inside for roughly 15-20 years till I came along and purchased it. Yes, there is rust, bubbling on lower 1/4 panels and lower fenders. Bottom of car is solid. Don't see any rust through on floors or cross rails. Yes there are dents. Nothing major, just door dings here and there. Most of the car is original paint. There are a few repaired areas on the car that were done years ago and the paint is checking in those spots. Nothing major was done that I can tell. Interior is all original with some fading and tears. Looks like carpet was replaced at some point in its life. Doors open and close nice and close solid. This car is unmolested mechanically. Everything that the car came with from factory is still in tact other than what I described. This car looks great sitting still and cruising down the road. Gets a lot of attention everywhere I go. Forgot to mention. Radiator has a small pinhole up high. Never leaks water, Just steam. I just stay on top of keeping it topped off. I'm really having a hard time letting this one go. It has the right look and love the way it drives. Two other projects require my attention, so I'm selling this one. Bid to win and GOOD LUCK.....
