It is NOT a numbers matching car.
This car was built approx. 30 years ago using a 65 GS donor car.
It was originally a rust free Skylark Convertible bought in Florida in approx. 1989. It has never been out of the state and remains rust free.In 2003 the registration was changed to a Pennsylvania registration, but the car has always remained in Florida.
Using the drive train and options from the donor car it was cloned to a GS.It was a quality restoration using all the options from the donor car, incl. suspension, power steering, disk brakes. It has been driven approx. 5,000 miles since it has been restored. The bucket seats were recovered with a Year One upholstery kit.It has a nice fitting convertible top which works well.Other features:Original 14 inch chrome GS wheels and center caps.Functioning power windows.Body, floor pans, trunk and frame are rust free. The dual exhaust system was replaced when the car was restored and is still in good condition. The chrome is lightly pitted and not show quality.Under hood and engine are not detailed.
The factory A/C was modified but could be converted back. The tires are in good condition and about 7 years old.The paint has the typical GM lacquer paint issues, especially on the hood.In its current condition this is an excellent driver. It is not a show car but has lots of potential!
